Company Overview:Our company has been servicing Calgary and the surrounding areas for over 31 years. With over 70 employees in the field, we currently focus mostly on multi-family and commercial plumbing and heating works. We care about our staff and view them as critical to our success. Many of our senior staff have been with us long-term (15+ years) years, and we are continuing to grow our team. If you are a 2nd year and above apprentice plumber looking to grow within a company, then we want to hear from you!Job Duties:Perform tasks as directed by senior staffEngage with the senior plumbers on site to learn how to install and repair plumbing, heating, and gas systemsTake an interest in your career – we want people who want to become journeymen, not labourersAsk questions, participate in things on site, do not just wait to be told what to doCommunicate clearly with foremen or journeymen on needs such as additional materials, required information for the task, etc.Participate and follow through in and on safety policy and procedureWhen required, guide a lower-level apprenticesQualifications:Bluebook and proof of apprenticeship if you are an active indentured apprenticeMinimum 1st year apprenticeship completeMinimum 1 year of experience in the construction industryStrong enough to handle the rigours of the job – should be able to lift minimum 50 lbs unassistedAbility to deal with the stresses of the job without flying off the handle on other staff members or customers. Expressing your frustration is ok.
