I am pleased to be working with my client who are based in Bootle. They are looking to bring onboard a Finance Asisstant to join the team on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract basis. The contract may well be extended or made permanent dependent on business needs. The company have been growing and it is an exciting time to join!Full training will be given on systems and processes.Salary – c£26000 – £29,000 DOE (with ongoing reviews throughout the contract)Hours – 8am – 4pm (M-F)Key Responsibilities:Credit Control:Manage credit control process to ensure timely collection of outstanding paymentsMonitor and review customer accounts to identify overdue payments and take appropriate actionLiaise with customers to resolve payment issues and discrepanciesChasing Payments:Proactively contact customers via phone, email, and letters to follow up on overdue invoicesPurchase Ledger:Accurately input purchase order invoices into the company’s accounting systemFiling:Maintain and organise the filing systems for invoices and proof of delivery paperworkEnsure all documentation is easily accessible and correctly archivedProof of Delivery (POD) Control:Verify and record proof of delivery documents for all dispatched ordersResolve any discrepancies or issues related to PODs with the transport providerPayroll Cover:Assist with payroll processing during annual leaveEnsure accurate and timely payment for weekly paid staffAnswering Calls:Handle incoming phone calls professionally, directing them to the appropriate departments or individualsRespond to customer inquiries and provide necessary information or assistanceAd-Hoc Admin Duties:Provide general administrative support to various departments as neededPerform any other tasks as assigned by the managementRequirements:Previous experience in credit control or a similar roleStrong organisational and time-management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesProficiency in using varied computer software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keepingAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentDesirable:Experience in the manufacturing or steel industryKnowledge of payroll processing and related softwareIf you feel you have the neccesary skills and are available to start a new role readily, please apply to be considered for the shortlist!
