Director of Specialty OperationsThe Smilist is seeking a Director of Specialty Operations with a proven track record of leadership. The Director of Specialty Operations is responsible for implementing systems to further grow an assigned group of dental offices and to support dental specialists. This role requires strong collaboration with the operations team. The ideal candidate will be able to use relationship-building skills to accomplish their responsibilities. This position is mostly in the field and will require travel 80% of the time.Key Job Responsibilities:Partners with Clinical Director to recruit, hire, and onboard specialists to The SmilistTrack internal and external specialty referrals to look at growth opportunities in offices/marketsAssist Regional Managers in overseeing the staffing, training, and development of specialty clinical coordinators, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfactionFacilitate communication with specialists, GP providers, and operations teamCollaborate with Regional Managers, Practice Managers and Treatment Coordinators to create productive, manageable schedules for Specialty DaysDirectly support Specialists in their growth and developmentImplement streamlined processes to monitor unscheduled treatment plans and conduct patient follow upsMonitor P&L statements for offices and develop effective ways to grow all specialty business linesOversee recruiting, hiring, staffing, and scheduling of specialty assistants to support specialistsAbility to review business reporting and create action plans to help attain yearly budgets and impact same store sales growthMarkets specialists internally and externally to increase specialty referralsJob Requirements:Extensive knowledge of dentistry and specialty procedures including, but not limited to Periodontics, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Pedodontics, and Endodontics2+ years of management experience required (Dental management experience required)Track record of exceptional customer service experienceHighly flexible, detail-oriented, reliable, and trustworthyA friendly, positive demeanor with patients and dental office team membersGreat administrative organizational skillsFamiliarity with Dentrix Enterprise is a mustSalary Range: $110,000-$130,000/yearPowered by JazzHRThe Smilist Dental
