Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading Energy from Waste company to recruit an Engineering and Maintenance Manager for its site in Glasgow.The Engineering and Maintenance Manager role comes with starting salary of up to £72,000 + bonus + benefits.If you have experience with people leadership / management and are looking for work then submit your CV to apply today.Responsibilities and dutiesReporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for:Managing, training and developing a team of multi skilled engineers and technicians responsible for maintaining all plant equipment to the highest of standards to ensure maximum availabilityLiaising with the Operations Manager and site Engineers for the purpose of plant improvement / modification / upgrade workPlanning and managing plant outagesManaging the maintenance department's budget.Developing the sites out of hours maintenance cover arrangements.Ensure all defects are logged within the warranty periods and liaise with the project team in getting any defects resolved.Oversee all stocks and spares to minimise plant downtime.Oversee biomass supply to site, managing suppliers.Oversee subcontractors on site, for the ongoing O&M or capital works and upgrade projects.Ensure a high level of health and safety on site, ensuring all legislation and company policies are adhered to and escalate any issues to Head of Industrial Biomass Operators and QHSE Manager.Represent the client at client meetings.Professional qualificationsWe are looking for someone with the following:Supervisory or management experience in a Maintenance/Engineering role on a power station or similar heavy process environment. This can include EFW, biomass, CCGT, refinery, steel works, paper mill etc.An engineering qualification such as an HND/HNC in an engineering discipline, ideally mechanicalStrong knowledge of pressure systems safety regulations (PSSR), rotating plant and boilersKnowledge of environmental permits, H&S issues and safe working environmentsExperience of managing budgets and in the training and development of staffPersonal skillsThe Engineering and Maintenance Manager role would suit someone who is:High-level communication and influencing skills.Clear and analytical thinker.Self-motivated who is a good people managerSalary and benefits of the Engineering and Maintenance Manager roleA highly competitive basic salary of up to £72,000A performance related bonusA contributory pensionThe chance to join the growing EFW sectorINDPOWTo apply for this Engineering and Maintenance Manager opportunity, please complete the form below.
