About UsThe JBS Beef City Feedlot is part of the integrated Beef City facility consisting of farming, feedlot and processing operations. The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimising stress and transportation costs, while simultaneously improving eating quality.Ideally located in the prime grain and cattle producing region of the Darling Downs, 35km west of Toowoomba, the 26,500 head capacity feedlot has a strong reputation for producing high quality grain fed beef for key domestic and international customers, and employs approximately 50 team members.JBS also has its livestock transport operations based at Beef City Feedlot to facilitate cattle movements between all the feedlot and processing sites.About the RoleThe JBS Beef City Feedlot is currently recruiting a motivated Feed Hand to join the team in a permanent full-time capacity. Reporting to the Mill Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include:Undertaking pre-start inspections of all machinery prior to operationReporting mechanical faults to the supervisorOperating loaders to clean pens, load trucks and associated tasks of a feedlot environmentOperating feed trucks to roll out feeding schedulesGeneral labouring dutiesPromoting and maintaining a safe work environment to prevent injuries and lost timeAdditional tasks as directed by the Mill Foreperson/Supervisor and/or Feedlot ManagerAbout YouExperience in operating trucks, front end loaders, bobcats and associated equipmentHold a HR Licence and machinery tickets advantageous but not essentialDemonstrated ability to work autonomously and part of a teamGood work ethicAbility to follow instructionsWhy work for JBS?Access to heavily discounted JBS productsRetail discounts with national partnersHealth insurance discounts on Bupa Health and Medibank PrivateInterested?
