DescriptionCreate awesome experiences for our clients.Join our teamTELUS Health is looking for a full-time Fitness & Wellness Consultant in Richmond Hill.Schedule: days, Monday - Friday.Here's the impact you'll make and what we'll accomplish togetherThe full-time Fitness & Wellness Consultant will be responsible for creating community and teaching a variety of group exercise classes, creating, promoting and implementing health and wellness programs to client employees.Here's howInstructing a variety of fitness classes and monitoring participationBuilding community through participation in charity and other special eventsCreate and conduct creative, informative and motivational communications, sharing with the employee populationProviding one-on-one consultations (i.e. fitness assessments, individual health & fitness programs and support)Instructing in-person and virtual stretch and mobility breaksLeading meditationsPlanning, creating and implementing a variety of fitness and wellness activity challenges, events, interactive programs, webinars and workshopsReporting of monthly and/or quarterly participation statisticsFacilitate the completion of screening forms and waivers for new members and annuallyCollaborate and partner with internal stakeholders and the Fitness & Wellness Consultants at other sites to plan targeted fitness and wellness programmingWork closely with the Benefits & Wellness team to align resources and wellness offerings across Canada and the USQualificationsDegree or diploma in Kinesiology, Fitness or Health promotionCurrent certifications in Fitness Instruction and CPR/First Aid/AEDPersonal training certificationEnergetic, confident, reliable, positive, engaging with a passion for fitness and healthHigh degree of self-motivation and initiative and ability to work independentlyStrong organization and time management skills requiredCompetent in administrative tasks and prioritizingExcellent communication (both written and verbal), presentation, and customer service skillsStrong computer skills with ability to adapt to and learn various software applicationsExperience in the corporate fitness & wellness field is a mustWho is TELUS Health Care CentresWe are a national network of renowned medical professionals dedicated to identifying health risks, inspiring positive lifestyle choices and improving patient outcomes.
