The team includes physiotherapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, social workers, nurses, doctors, and community care aides. Together, high quality acute care is delivered flexibly and ensures the patient is the centre of our care whilst at home or in our clinic.What you'll be doingAs the HITH Occupational Therapist, your acute skills in respiratory assessment and treatment are necessary to support our patients at home and avoid hospital admission or support early discharge home.In addition to this, common cohorts of patients include post orthopaedic (elective and trauma), cardiac (stents), breast surgery and frailty patients who would otherwise be in hospital. Responding to acute deterioration in the home and escalating appropriately is a frequent requirement of this role and supported by the HITH team.People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:Must hold registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
