Join Team Purple. Join IFS.Job DescriptionThe IT Business Partner, Finance, plays a pivotal role as the liaison between Finance and IT. As the IT business partner you will need to have a deep understanding of the Finance strategy, goals, objectives, milestones, maturity planning and KPI’s. The primary responsibility is to align technology solutions, strategies, and initiatives with the overall goals of the Finance organization. You will also be responsible for understand how and where the IT function can improve delivery to IFS and generate the case for the evolution of IT that is Business Led. You will work alongside other IT partners who may have similar challenges and opportunities. We will expect you to work together with them to negotiate the most effective use of time and capacity to maximise the overall value to IFS.ResponsibilitiesHave a deep understanding of the Finance lifecycle, KPI’s and value to IFS and its Customers.Work with the IT Strategy team to Translate business requirements into technology strategies that deliver business value.Negotiate with the business, IT partners and IT Delivery to ensure work is efficiently prioritised, planned and delivered.Facilitate clear and effective communication on milestones, Blokers or challenges.Challenge the IT org with feedback on areas of improvement ensuring the rite internal improvements are prioritised and tested.Facilitate education to ensure that technical concepts are understood by non-technical stakeholders.Facilitate and become the powerful connector for communications between IT and the business ensuring a good mutual understanding of each other's needs.Participate in the development of IT business strategies and plans that support the long-term IFS Business goals.Participate in the enterprise portfolio and budget development process for IT Business cases representing business priorities and objectivesParticipate in business leadership team meetings to better understand potential issues or opportunitiesDevelop business/functional cross platform solution requirementsAssure delivery of IT solutions and services, and owning resolution of delivery issuesQualificationsKnowledge, Skills, Ability RequirementsCommunication Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively to be able to participate in business discussions and planning sessionsNegotiations Skills: Must possess strong negotiations skills when building agreements and contracts with the businessRelationship Management: Must maintain a strong positive relationship with senior level business owners; should be seen as a partner and advisor and should work to maintain high customer satisfactionInfluence: Must be able to effectively market and sell IT services to the business unitsStrong working knowledge of IFS Cloud, enterprise LMS applications and enterprise Workforce Planning capabilitiesTech-Savvy – Should be able to speak intelligently on the advantages and disadvantages of a broad range of technologies and services providedFinance – Should be able to assist in developing business cases for IT solutionsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree requiredDemonstrated experience within relevant business function or strategic IT functionStrong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbalDemonstrated ability to absorb and analyse new technologies and business processesDemonstrated skills showing how you have enabled operational efficiency using technology, process improvement and people enablement.Proven ability to interface with personnel at all levels, including executives.Prior experience in partnering with Finance enacting change.Additional InformationWe believe that coming together as a community, in person, is important for innovation, connection and fostering a sense of belonging.
