Group Audit and Assurance (GA&A) are the internal audit function for the Group. Their primary purpose is to provide independent and objective assurance of the effectiveness of the Groups risk management, controls and governance processes.Retail Banking Services (RBS) provides simple, convenient and affordable banking products and services to personal customers, helping them manage their everyday banking needs, buy a home, protect their assets or invest for the future. RBS includes CBA retail operations across Australia and Bankwest retail operations.Your role is to perform high quality, risk-focused analytics that provides management with powerful insights for improving the RBS control environment in line with Group strategic objectives. Assist the RBS audit function to become more efficient and effective via data analytics, AI and automation.Your responsibilities will include:High quality and timely delivery of several Analytics assignments across your given portfolio.Consistently deliver accurate and effective data analytics in line with Methodology and quality standards.Work closely and effectively with auditors and teams within GA&A and across CBA to understand the risk and control environment.Profile, test and understand data extracted from core business systems to determine the existence of unidentified risks or control failuresPresent results in a clear and concise manner to senior internal and external stakeholdersSolve complex analytical problems by applying innovative and resourceful thinkingAdhere to the Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct sets the standards of behaviour, actions and decisions we expect from our people.Your experience:Experience with analytics languages such as SQL, python or R.Demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts into simplified stakeholder key messagesProven experience in using best practice across analytics, data management, risk management, and governance.Demonstrated ability to collaborate with auditors to solve data challenges as well as draw insights from analysisAttention to detail and qualityExcellent verbal, written communication skills and critical thinking skillsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneouslyStrong commercial acumenDemonstrated good team playerAudit experience skills preferable but not necessaryRisk Mindset – All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks.We support our people with the flexibility to balance where work is done with at least half your time each month connecting in the office.
