This role requires excellent personal presentation and includes working a rotating 7-day roster with essential weekend shifts.Please include your showreel with your application.Your day to day will include but won't be limited to:Develop and maintain contacts with sports personalities, organisations and key sourcesProduce and present compelling sports news stories for broadcast and digital platforms.Write, edit, and present news stories with accuracy and clarity.Deliver live reports and cover sports events, including live interviews with athletes and coaches.Provide insightful commentary and analysis on various sports topics.Collaborate with producers, editors, and reporters for comprehensive sports coverage.Demonstrate positive and professional communication, supporting a team environment.Communicate clearly, timely, and consistently, following NEC company policies where required.QualificationsWhat we would like to see on your resume:Proven experience working as a Sports Journalist or Reporter in a NewsroomStrong network of contacts within the sports industryBachelor's Degree in Journalism or equivalentWell developed verbal communication skills including clear speaking voiceCalmness and the ability to work under pressureWell developed research and interview skillsAn excellent memory for recalling scripts and factsComprehensive knowledge and understanding of different sports and sports eventsAdditional InformationBenefits and Wellbeing:Career development and quality trainingPaid primary carer's parental leaveDiscounts on lifestyle, entertainment, and leisure memberships, including health insurance, dental and gymAccess to 'Employee Exclusives' -an initiative for employees to get closer to our incredible brands and products.
