PROJECT SUPERVISOR (CONSTRUCTION / MECHANICAL FIELD)COMPANY DESCRIPTIONOur client is a premier energy and water conservation contractor providing custom design/build solutions to commercial, institutional, municipal, and industrial facilities nationwide. Our projects include in-house survey, design, engineering, project management, commissioning, and ongoing service of complex multi-discipline turnkey projects.JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Project Supervisor (PS) is responsible for the planning, coordination, documentation, and execution of contracted projects. The PS is responsible for project review and planning, tracking project budgets and forecasting, contractor sourcing, solicitation, selection, and oversight, project planning & scheduling, company resource allocation, and customer communication. The role at times also requires accessing spaces that require some physical fitness. The PS will work at times with the project development team to identify and develop energy projects for our customers.In this role, we will also train the Project Supervisor to perform site surveys for engineering and proposal development. This work will help you learn all the various systems we encounter and how we build projects efficiently, on time, and on budget. Through this process, you will work with sales, engineering, and procurement on budgeting project scopes, identifying opportunities, and assisting in strategic selling efforts.This challenging and demanding role is a pivotal leadership position in our rapidly growing energy conservation services company. In this role, you will have frequent interaction with sales and engineering through the life cycle of our projects and be forward-facing our customers and their clients.Responsibilities:Maintain safety practices in compliance with company procedures in all aspects of job performance.Adhere to company safety rules, ensure compliance, and lead weekly safety meetings.Uphold the company's Standards of Quality and ExcellenceDeliver completed projects in accordance with contractual obligations and scope of work.Prepare and manage project budgets.Prepare and maintain project schedule including participation in development and regular updates with team members and project stakeholders.Conduct weekly project meetings with the owner, design team members, jurisdictional authorities, and construction team members.Responsible for project adherence to the contracted scope of work as well as participating in the preconstruction process as necessary.Responsible for client management throughout procurement, construction, and post-construction processesAssists in the development and implementation of quality assurance plans during the design and construction phases and seeks to align client expectations into this process.Develop and manage departmental reporting guidelines to include daily installation documentation, daily written project updates, daily and weekly email communications within and outside of the organization, daily and weekly safety briefings and meetings.Development of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), work plans, and MS Project master schedulesReview, confirm, and approve weekly billings to the company.Assist in the design and development of new projects, attend pre-bid meetings, and conduct site contractor walkthroughs.Maintain open lines of communication with customer, subcontractor, and SMI management.Promote project culture that is consistent with company values.Adhere to/comply with the company's EEO policies and affirmative action obligations.Compliance with all company proceduresTravel nationwide as needed, for extended-duration projects with weekend travel home.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsTechnical degree with a minimum five years’ experience in mechanical design/construction/installation, project management, or other related equivalent work experienceProficiency in MS Office suite – MS Project, Outlook, Word, Excel, TeamsStrong communication and technical writing skillsAbility to work independently and remotely on projects.Ability to travel as needed (up to 70%)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrates effective collaboration with project stakeholders.Preferred QualificationsM.E. degreePMP, CAMP, or desire to obtain.OSHA 30, EM 385 USACEPlumbing + Mechanical skills, steam / fluid system maintenance experience a plusKnowledge of piping and pressure vessel codesBenefitsAnnual base salary – $60-80k with highly competitive bonus packages (salary and bonus structure commensurate with experience)Company-paid benefits (Health, Dental, Vision)401k plan with employer matching contributionsAbility to work remotely.Fun, high-energy atmosphere with a focus on employee developmentAdditional benefits:The company encourages professional development, we will help employees obtain credentials including CEM, PE, PMP, etc.The company promotes and provides advancement opportunities to all employees.The company encourages industry engagement and will invite employees to trade and industry-affiliated conferences and expos.The company pays all expenses for employees, we provide travel stipends, mileage reimbursements, and corporate credit for advance purchases for all business-related expenses.The company encourages work/life balance and will work hard to promote for all employees.Powered by JazzHRHireMilitary
