This role will require working rotational weekend shifts once fully trained.Preparation of media (agars etc.) to be used in microbiological analysis.Food sample preparation in line with company protocols.Microbiological analysis of food, feed and environmental samples.Training and operation of relevant equipment.General housekeeping of laboratory and prevention of cross contamination.Accurate Data entry into laboratory database.Accurate record-keeping associated with UKAS quality system.Effective communication with all employees.Report any anomalous results or situations to Laboratory Supervisor.Health and Safety procedures are adhered to within the laboratory.QualificationsEducated to degree level/HND in relevant science subjectA level in a science related subjectGCSE English and Mathematics and Science or equivalentComputer literate with experience of MS Office applications (in particular Excel)Comfortable working in a busy environmentExcellent organisational skills with the ability to work quickly and accuratelyAbility to work on own initiative as well as part of a teamAdditional InformationBenefitsAt Eurofins we are growing, innovating and always learning.
