Staff Developers at AgencyAnalytics are T-shaped, meaning they not only operate broadly at a high level across technical areas but can also dive deep into specific areas and teams when needed.As a Staff Developer you can expect to be brought into initiatives at the strategy and discovery phases to ideate on what’s possible. You’ll experiment and drive new, and changes to existing, system architectures. You’ll be a coach and mentor to our engineering team. Along with other Staff Developers and technical leaders, you’ll set the operating rhythm to balance high efficiency with high quality.What you'll doYour time will be divided between leading cross-functional technical projects, building and reviewing architectures on various teams, and coaching and mentoring our engineering team.You’ll be setting and driving coding standards, technical processes, and tooling across engineeringYou'll prioritize and work on multiple projects from start to finish, balancing quality, stability and project delivery.Through code reviews and mentoring you'll set a high quality bar. As well, you’ll actively look for ways to improve the overall quality of our codebase.You'll work across teams to promote an open, collaborative approach to architecture, technical patterns, and complex problem solving.You have 8+ years of professional SaaS architecture and development experience, having lead teams to successful outcomesYou have previously held a Staff Developer or higher level titleYou have deep architectural experience in one or more of the following areas - event-driven architectures, modular system design, data pipelines / warehouses, end-to-end highly scalable software systemsYou are an expert at translating company objectives into technical delivery milestonesYou set a high bar for quality and hold yourself and other engineers accountable to itYou’re exceptional at unblocking engineering teams to keep things movingWhat you'll bringAlong with other Staff developers, you’ll drive architectural changes across our productsYou can operate a different levels - from architect to hands-on developmentYou’re good at seeing and planning beyond ‘the current project’You’re deeply experienced with software observability and have taught teams how to correctly monitor their products and servicesYou’re determined to have a highly positive impact across engineering through uplevelling our team and focusing on the most important objectivesYou know how to delegate to the right people at the right timeYou measure your success by the success of the engineers you serveYou’ll work tightly with engineering and product leaders as peersThrough code reviews and peer feedback, you advocate for high standards and look for ways to improve the overall quality of our codebaseYou have experience working in a fully remote environmentOur StackModern PHP (PSR) + LaravelTypescript, React, and ReduxGCP Cloud SQL (MySQL), BigQuery, and RedisGCP Cloud Tasks and PubSubAgencyAnalytics
