We’re changing the way Australia generates its energy, are you ready for a change?The ProjectThe Utilities business are the preferred contractor on two of the largest energy infrastructure projects within the Australian energy sector, and one of these projects is located in Queensland. These two exciting opportunities secure a pipeline of work until 2027 and include the design & construction of new transmission lines and substations.We are currently seeking expressions of interest from experienced Procurement Officers for a role based in Brisbane.The role will be responsible for promoting best practice and support monitoring of compliance to improve the performance of procurement (inclusive of purchasing and contract management) functions.What will a day in this role look like:Contribute to development, planning, and execution of projects that improve procurement outcomes and drive performance of procurement functions.Provide input and guidance for staff in relation to procurement processes, probity matters and procurement governance requirements.Contribute to UGL’s management of risk by supporting risk assessments and as directed, support implementation of mitigation measures relevant to procurement, purchasing and contract management.Support development, implementation, and maintenance of systems (Felix) and standards of procurement operation that incorporate and reflect statutory obligations through Subcontractor Prequalification processes etc.The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role.
