We continue to integrate new technologies like eSIM, blockchain, and machine learning into our services and strive to develop industry-leading innovations.What you'll doJoin Vodafone's dynamic team to support our Roaming and International Voice Services (VRS) within the Vodafone Procurement and Connectivity Business (VPC). You'll be playing a crucial role in handling legal matters related to international roaming agreements, wholesale business, operational initiatives, and cutting-edge technology projects. Your contributions will also shape VRS/VPC compliance programs and industry initiatives, driving transformation toward smart digital practices and promoting standardization and simplification. Collaborate closely with Vodafone's Legal & Business Integrity department to spearhead cross-functional initiatives and foster collaboration across responsible areas.Impact on the BusinessDraft and provide legal counsel on agreements, including international roaming, ensuring they align with business needs.Support the development and management of VRS/VPC services, advising on legal compliance, and mitigating risks.Coordinate with Legal & Business Integrity and Local Market Legal teams to address legal issues effectively.Contribute to VRS/VPC compliance programs (anti-bribery, sanctions, competition law, data privacy) and champion best practices.Collaborate with various internal functions (Intellectual Property Rights, Data Protection, Tax, Finance, Operations, Regulatory) to address issues within responsible areas.Customers, Suppliers, and Third PartiesPartner closely with commercial, wholesale, and operations teams on VRS contracts and agreements.Maintain effective stakeholder relationships to ensure seamless support delivery.Influence discussions towards optimal legal solutions and encourage best practices.TeamworkAct as a strong team player, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.Identify and manage areas of business risk, offering proactive solutions.Provide support to team members and Legal & Business Integrity colleagues.Innovation and ChangeProactively identify and manage business risks, engaging stakeholders in decision-making processes.Ensure stakeholders are well-informed to make strategic decisions promptly.Resolve legal issues promptly and effectively.Knowledge and ExperienceMaintain technical expertise within your field, staying updated on legal developments.Stay abreast of contract law and monitor legal and commercial trends impacting Vodafone.Brief responsible areas on key legal developments and their implications.CommunicationDeliver compelling presentations and offer clear, strategic legal advice to senior stakeholders.Foster effective communication within the business area and with Group services functions.Provide expert legal guidance to VRS/VPC initiatives across responsible areas.Collaborate effectively with Vodafone Group teams and local operating companies.Who you areSubstantial post-qualification experience in a dynamic commercial legal role, handling complex matters and a variety of commercial agreements, compliance, and other legal issuesExceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a keen ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearlyStrong commercial acumen, able to understand and contribute to business objectivesProficient in written and spoken English, with the ability to draft and negotiate commercial contracts effectivelyDemonstrated experience working collaboratively as part of a team, fostering a cooperative and supportive environmentProven track record in reviewing, negotiating, and drafting commercial contracts, as well as providing insightful advice on compliance and regulatory mattersStrong problem-solving and reasoning skills, capable of tackling legal challenges with creativity and precisionProficiency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills with additional language skills being a plus.Professional legal qualification with a strong academic background.Not a perfect fit?Worried that you don't meet all the desired criteria exactly?
