As the cook you get to serve the cutest customers in town!Just a few benefits we offer:Flexible schedule optionsOpportunity for professional development paid for by the companyOpportunity for advancement within the first yearGenerous employee childcare discount (50% off for infants and toddlers, 75% for preschool and school age)Competitive benefits plan including medical, dental, and visionPaid time offResponsibilities:Prepares, produces, heats, cooks, bakes and serves a variety of foods.Sets up and merchandizes food and food service areas.Operates Kitchen Equipment and utilizes kitchen utensils.Receive, label and store food.Clean and sanitize kitchen items.Perform daily, weekly and monthly deep cleaning of the facility, service areas and kitchen equipment.Disposes of waste according to food services operating procedure, OSHA and the state health department.Any other duties assigned by the Center Director.Skills:Experience in childcare preferredKnowledge of or ability to learn early childhood education standardsAbility to create a positive learning environment for childrenCommunication skills that reflect professionalism and kindness at all timesProactive and team-oriented attitude to create a successful team environmentMust be able to maintain a strict classroom schedule to ensure state ratio complianceQualifications:Must pass background and TB screening.Have or be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR Certification.Must be minimum of 18 years old.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.Frequent periods of standing, stooping, bending, and occasional running.Work in refrigerated areas.Withstand a wide range of temperatures.Able to work a full assigned shift in order to maintain ratios.Certifications/Licensing:High School DiplomaFood Manager CertificateCPR & First AideEarly Learning Academies (ELA) is an equal opportunity employer.
