Your success is dependent on building a strategic partnership and becoming aligned with the operations and technology teams. You will work internally across departments and externally with clients and vendors, so it is imperative to always demonstrate the highest level of professionalism.Duties and ResponsibilitiesManipulate large amounts of data (mass insert, update, upsert, delete) using SQL statementsPerform data transfer functions by importing and exporting data to and from the MySQL, Redshift, or other sources, leveraging SQL and Python for data migration and pivotingReview project requirements and provide expert advice regarding the structure of databases and formsUtilize data analysis and SQL skills to design and develop database queries, extract participant-level data from databases and analyze the data using a variety of analytical techniquesGenerate and analyze data reports from internal and external sourcesResearch and data mine as directed to retrieve data/status and develop/provide metrics as requiredCollaborate in all aspects of the collection, verification and entry of dataPerform data transfer functions by importing and exporting data to and from Redshift, SQL Server and MySQLConduct quality control and auditing of databases in a client/server environment to ensure accurate and appropriate use of dataDesign workflows to control access to data and optimize the flow of informationProvide all activities related to the administration of databasesProvide data and analytical support for casesDocument guidelines for appropriate database usage, data maintenance and key report processingMonitor data management repositories and communicate documentation to teamSupport with organization, tracking, maintenance and validation of spreadsheetsDevelop a process and associated plan for the maintenance of existing reports, trackers, and documents for the creation, incorporation and maintenance of new reportsDesign, implement, and maintain complex databases with respect to access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methodsFully document all work and comply with development best practicesParticipate in and conduct code reviews of both team and vendor-supplied code and determine quality, identify bugs and evaluate risksEnsure architecture is consistent with organizational development standards and align with industry guidelines and best practicesContinually work towards strengthening industry knowledge and all relevant applicationsCommunicate regularly and effectively with all colleaguesExhibit a very organized approached and superior attention to detailsMeet regularly with managers to provide feedback and facilitate communicationAdhere to all business processes while performing tasksAble to take on new tasks and responsibilities as neededPerform other work-related duties as assigned by managementQualificationsBachelors’ degree in computer science, business or other related field or disciplineDatabase system(s) experience requiredComplex data analytics experience requiredPython Language - 5 years experienceLAW PreDiscovery – LexisNexis experience preferred5 years experience with SQL, advanced Excel (including VBA), data mining; prior coding experience constitutes an advantageSystem implementation and system integration experienceSkilled in business analysis, process improvement, and project managementMinimum of 3-5 years of experience and a demonstrated track record of accomplishmentsAggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skillsDemonstrate a high degree of productivity while handling multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environmentExcellent written, verbal, communication, and research skills a mustAbility to be flexible to adapt and act quickly when urgent matters require itAble to work effectively with diversified individuals of various ethnic backgrounds and professional competenciesProject a positive, professional image toward clients, vendors and staff in all interactions and situationsMaintain the highest level of confidentialityProblem analysis and resolution skills at both a strategic and functional levelExcellent computer skills including all MS Office applications.
