Join our team today!Job DescriptionAccountabilities:Individual, family, and group counselling within an addiction recovery modelCase managementData collection and reportingAttendance at staff and other community/hospital meetingsSupporting quality improvement initiativesConsistent patient documentation on electronic filesQualificationsUndergraduate degree in healthcare/social services or related field requiredPost-graduate degree/diploma in mental health and addictions an assetRegulated health professional, able to perform the controlled act of psychotherapy (or eligible to register with an applicable provincial college) preferredMinimum three years experience in counselling to those who have a substance use disorder and problem gambling requiredExperience supporting family members and those involved in providing support to the primary patient requiredDemonstrated skill in addiction assessment (e.g. GAIN-Q3 MI ONT) and treatmentDemonstrated experience in developing and/or facilitating therapeutic groups for those with substance use disorders and problem gambling, as well as for their families/significant othersAbility to work within a health care environment and within multi-disciplinary teams, both internally and externallyDemonstrated skill in collaborating with other social service agencies/organizationsDemonstrated skill and knowledge about concurrent disordersDemonstrated skill in cultural competence and knowledge of culturally appropriate community resources for those with addictions/concurrent disordersAbility to work independentlyExperience in program development and evaluationComputer skills essential, experience with Meditech and Catalyst an assetAbility to travel and deliver service at various sites including internal and external partner sitesKnowledge of a second language is an assetMust demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and CollaborationExcellent attendance, punctuality and work recordAdditional InformationHours: Currently days/evenings, including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)Internal application deadline: July 24, 2024#LI-VS1#FTOsler values inclusivity and diversity in the workplace.
