We have a number of vacancies across various locations in the hospitals and day procedure centre teams. These contracts allow veterans to access high quality medical services.In this role, the occupant is responsible for setting priorities for their contracts and ensure quality of outputs for their work area. This includes the day to day management of contract BAU activities such as relationship management with providers, completing contract logs, assisting with billing enquiries, undertaking price reviews, resolving complaints and ensure quality assurance activities are completed to a high standard. Monitoring the effectiveness of contractual key performance indicators through risk assessment and risk management activities and providing guidance and advice on program requirements is a key requirement of the role. Contract managers also contribute to the resolution of complex and sensitive issues. Well developed written and oral communication skills, and an ability to negotiate with external providers is essential.DutiesEnsure record keeping through management for all contract documents including financial records, correspondence, communications, meeting minutes, plans and supplier documents in line with Commonwealth legislation and DVA policies and procedures.Manage performance monitoring through quality control activities to ensure work is being performed efficiently and in accordance with the agreed procedures.Undertake complex pricing negotiations with external providers.Provide relationship management by supporting the management of complex internal and external relationships, and inquiries in accordance with section priorities.Manage contract variations by applying a sound knowledge of contract variation procedures and the relevant policies and legislation to ensure both stakeholder relationships, administrative and policy requirements are managed successfully.EligibilityUnder section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the Australian Public Service (APS).All applicants external to DVA offered employment will be required to successfully undergo a pre-engagement screening check, even if they have a security clearance.
