The Equipment team is responsible for fleet acquisitions, fleet management, international maintenance and continuous improvement so that Toll can continue to provide service quality.The Role -Toll Group have an exciting new position and seeking a talented Regional Fleet Manager. The Regional Fleet manager will ensure the efficient use of company capital as it pertains to fleet. This will be achieved through ensuring the maximum utilisation of assets from a group point of view. Ensuring lowest life cycle cost of operating assets by rotating equipment through high and low usage cycles and identifying trends that are leading to higher ownership costs. This must be done in line with ensuring the focus areas and activities of the business are holistically carried out in line with the Group ‘One Toll’ strategy. Furthermore, the values and the Toll single strategy must be enabled through ensuring a unified culture of safety, people, customer focus and operational excellence is in place.Primary Responsibilities and Decisions –Working collaboratively with key Toll businesses in order to identify and execute specific customer opportunities, strategies, cost reduction and performance enhancement initiatives.Working with the sites to improve utilisation of their fleet, including – transfers or sharing of fleet where underutilised.Reviewing fleet cost reports (Maintenance and fuel $/km etc) with maintenance teams to understand any increases in costs relative to standard/ previous, critically review reasons with Business and workshop.Work with Business units to ensure the smooth transition of new vehicles into the business and retired vehicles out.Ensuring equipment design and specification processes across designated equipment categories for the Group deliver a competitive advantage.Working collaboratively with other parts of the Toll business within and outside the business unit in order to identify and support specific customer opportunities, strategies, cost reduction and performance enhancement.What you’ll need to succeed –Knowledge or experience in a Fleet Management role or in a large fleet environment.Supplier and customer relationship management experienceStrong understanding of regulatory requirements relating to fleet categoryGood mechanical knowledge of road fleet including Prime movers, rigid trucks and trailersRecognise key interrelationships and patterns among a variety of problems and issues.Intermediate Microsoft office skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint, with strong written and verbal communication skillsHeavy Vehicle licence is preferable but not beneficial.Join us and take your career to new heights in the fast-paced world of logistics!What moves you?At Toll, you can help play a vital role in delivering what matters.
