Employment Type: Permanent Part TimeLocation: Site negotiable within SNSWLHDPosition Classification: Dependent on QualificationsRemuneration:Counsellor Level 4: $57.51 - $58.95 per hourSocial Worker Level 4: $57.51 - $58.95 per hourPsychologist: $35.92 - $53.47Hours Per Week: 32Requisition ID: REQ505784Applications Close: 27 July 2024Interview Details: Scheduled within 10 days of closingWhat you'll be doingThis role will coordinate primary prevention initiatives, provide early support for children and families to address behaviours when they are first identified, and coordinate pathways into specialist counselling services for children and families who need them. To find out more on what it is like to live and work in Southern NSW LHD click here –Selection Criteria * Degree in Social Work or Bachelor degree in Counselling or Psychology or related field as per NSW Health Service Health Professionals award, and/or eligibility for registration with AHPRA or AASW or completion of the ECAV pathway, with demonstrated cultural expertise.Demonstrated ability to provide culturally responsive counselling services to individuals and their families. Including the ability to create Aboriginal community connections, engagement and collaboration to affect outcomes with an understanding of intergenerational trauma, contextual and causal factors for violence, abuse and neglect and the principles of cultural safety.Demonstrated understanding and skills in child centered, family focused counselling, support and case management to address problematic or harmful sexual behaviours with young children and their carers.Demonstrated understanding of the legal and policy framework governing child protection in NSW.Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills in combination with a demonstrated ability to work as part of a small therapeutic team.Demonstrated experience participating in and/or leading of quality improvement activities and service development and evaluation.Demonstrated commitment to clinical and cultural supervision and professional education and experience in providing clinical supervision.Evidence of a current Class C driver licence and the ability and willingness to travel for work purposes.
