Job DescriptionOur client is a leading corporate and investment bank based in the city centre. They seek to add a qualified Senior Financial Controller to their internal finance team (NOT client accounting).Our client is profitable, stable and secure with a presence of about 100 people in Lux. This is a meritocratic environment where your efforts are rewarded.The role involves accountability for the accounting function of the Luxembourg entity. You will work with the various areas in the investment bank (treasury; loan department; corporate teams; sales; M&A and trade finance divisions for example).There are a number of interesting projects to get involved with as our client continues to invest in streamlining and systemising processes.In this role, some of your key responsibilities would include:Responsible for the general accounting of the bank under the leadership of the CFOControl of financial budgetsSupport Luxembourg FINREP, BCL Statistical, and Corep reportsHedge accountingCo-ordination of the external and internal auditSupport the improvement of the risk control frameworkTo be successful in this role you will require the following attributes:Finance qualification preferred (e.g. ACCA, CA(SA), OEC)5+ years as a Financial Accountant in a bank in LuxembourgIFRS and LUX GAAP experienceTax experience and a desire to continue with tax accounting advantageous.Fluency in English plus another European language considered a plusApply now in English if you already work in Luxembourg and want to know more!We handle all applications in the strictest confidence, and your data is never shared with any third party withoutFollow us on LinkedIn or check euroluxconsulting.com for other great job opportunities.We handle all applications in the strictest confidence.We will contact you if you make our shortlist.
