With a focus on safety, and fostering a one team spirit, we are looking to add Civil Construction and General Construction Labourers to our team. Apply now - Start tomorrow!Successful candidates will be required to perform tasks involving physical labor at open space construction projects and sites, and will be required to operate a variety of hand and power tools. We are looking for individuals who are safety-conscious, reliable, and able to work in a team-oriented environment. This position is seasonal, and candidates will be required to have a reliable vehicle to get to various sites in the Edmonton and area. Position is 10-12 hours per day, 6 days a week and performs some or all of the following:ResponsibilitiesCart and spread topsoil and other materials.Lay sod or seed. Plant shrubs and trees.Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.Utilize concrete to form foundations/pads/. Build and position forms for pouring concrete, and dismantle forms after use.Build retaining walls, paving stone installation, underground utility installation and other types of civil work.Operation of small packers, shoveling, heaving lifting, etc.Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, compact and level earth to grade specifications, using appropriate tools.Perform other duties to assist with the construction of a landscape and related structures.Work in parks- trails- ravines- river valley- urban landscapes!Load and unload construction materials from trucks and move them to the worksite.Assist in the installation of drainage systems, retaining walls, and other features.Clean up work areas and remove debris.Perform general maintenance and repair work such as filling holes, repairing fences, and painting.Operate hand and power tools to complete construction tasks.Follow all safety protocols and ensure adherence to company policies.RequirementsPrevious construction experience is considered an asset.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Minimum Class 5 drivers license is mandatory.
