Description :SMS Equipment is growing ! We are looking for a Shop Mechanic to join our team! In this role you will find solutions, make safety a priority and work with the largest, most advanced earthmoving equipment. You will be at the forefront helping to keep those machines, and the industry they service, moving! This role is located in Chicoutimi.The shift for this role is 5x2.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :Determine the extent of the mechanical problem and perform repairs.Order required parts.Adjust, repair and\or replace defective parts.Work safely.Perform other regular maintenance.Qualifications :The successful candidate will possess a Heavy Equipment Mechanic Certification. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.Other requirements include :Minimum 5 years of experience in construction equipment mechanics or equivalent.Other training certifications an asset: WHMIS, overhead crane operator, forklift operator certification.Good knowledge of hydraulics and hydrostaticAble to do some welding.Experience and knowledge of Komatsu products an asset.Punctual, autonomous, proactive and a team worker.Sound health and safety practices.Recruiting highly talented and dedicated personnel.Applications will be received until a suitable candidate has been hired.At SMS Equipment, safety is one of our values and we care for each other, without exception.
