Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Assistant to join the finance team of a large, successful retail business based at their Head Office in Plymouth. Reporting to the Overheads Manager and as part of the Overheads team, you will be responsible for overseeing several cost centres, ensuring that expenditure is recorded accurately and on a timely basis.Day to day responsibilities will include the review of sensitive nominal codes, identifying CAPEX, prepayments and accruals. Ensuring invoices are approved and posted on a timely basis. Updating the Fixed Asset Register and posting journals for additions and depreciation. Analysing costs against budgets and reporting key variances to the Finance Manager team. Assisting in budgeting and reforecasting as appropriate.The role is full time and provides hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of 4 days in the office per week.
