At Royal Freemasons our residents look forward to nutritious and delicious meals designed and cooked by our chefs and enjoy a warm and welcoming dining experience.The Chef Manager will ensure the highest levels of service in food preparation, hygiene, kitchen services and hospitality standards are met. It is important that you have a warm and hospitable personality and can relate to older people and deliver a wonderful customer service experience.You will be required to manage the production team which includes, Cooks, Kitchen Assistants and oversee rosters, budgets, review of menus, OHS, kitchen hygiene and managing all daily operations within the kitchen.Key RequirementsIdeally previous experience within an Aged Care environmentTrade certificate or Diploma in CookeryAbility to lead by example and mentor/train the teamComputer literacy, documentation skills and ability to meet quality standardsAbility to identify, resolve and manage problemsTo display courtesy to other employees, clients and refrain from any behaviour that is divisive, intolerant, illegal, hurtful or outside of professional boundariesTo work in an open, supportive and cooperative manner with other employeesExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsPolice Check, Covid Vaccine (3 Vaccines)As part of your application, you will be asked to complete pre-employment checks.Mandatory vaccinesAll aged care workers must be vaccinated against COVID-19 and encouraged to receive the flu vaccine.
