This isNon-Medical Direct Care.Duties and Responsibilities:Provide personal care services of a non-medical nature, according to an approved plan of careSupports clients by aiding with the Activities of Daily Living or ADLs (bathing/dressing/toileting/hygiene/meal prep/assistance with meals/mobility monitoring/medication remindersHelps family members or primary caregivers care for the client by teaching appropriate ways to transfer, turn, and re-positioning if necessaryMaintains a safe, secure, and healthy client environment by following agency standards and proceduresUpdates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunitiesEnhances service reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishmentsSkills/Qualifications:Be skilled at caring for othersNeed good interpersonal skills must be service oriented, possess good bedside mannerMust have patience and compassion for elderly and/or disabled citizensMust provide 2 Professional References6 months or more of prior direct caregiving experience preferred/some training providedExperience working with individuals with dementia/Alzheimer's diseaseSkilled in verbal and written communicationMust be dependable and have reliable transportationMust meet background eligibility requirementsSERIOUS APPLICANTS ONLYThis description is not meant to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities.
