Find out more and .Your OpportunityOur WHS team has an opportunity for you to join us as a Work Health & Safety Business Partner.In this role, you will work closely with the WHS & Wellbeing Team Leader delivering high standards of WHS support, advice and expertise across your portfolio. You will work to spot trends in workplace health and safety hazards, incidents and risks and assist with creating and implementing effective strategies and risk management processes. This role will see you collaborate with and influence managers and other key partners and staff across the organisation. Your efforts will support in driving the Mission Australia WHS system across various locations nationwide, fostering a safe and healthy environment for everyone.Your key responsibilities will be to:Support MA business units to continuously improvement safety performance through identifying and implementing practical solutionsContribute to the identification of corrective actions arising from incidents, risk management and compliance assurance activitiesReview online incident reporting and work with sites to ensure report quality meets required compliance standardsDrive early intervention and reporting of safety hazards and incidentsProvide expert guidance to identify and implement effective risk controls and guide the implementation of those controlsInterpret and practically apply WHS legislation, codes of practice and industry standards across multiple statesPartner with and coach internal stakeholders in how to engage their teams in such a way that it positively impacts on the creation of a culture that supports WHSDevelop and facilitate WHS training and education programs on procedures and systems in safetyConduct health & safety audits and inspections, identify potential hazards/ risks and report to the WHS & Wellbeing Team LeaderRequirements for SuccessMinimum Diploma WHS5 years' experience in a WHS role (minimum) preferably in a multi-jurisdictional capacityNFP background desirableRoot Cause Analysis, ICAM experience is highly desirableProven ability to engage and work collaboratively, and influence key stakeholdersExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal and an ability to be adaptive in your communicationCurrent valid drivers licenceCert IV in Training and Assessment would be desirableNOTE: Depending on the successful candidates location, and portfolio of states being supported by the role, interstate travel may be required on occasion.Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.Our CultureOur innovative and inclusive culture will ensure you feel valued at Mission Australia as you help Australians in need and develop in your career.We prioritise the safety and wellbeing of everyone, both within our team and the individuals we serve.We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive working environment.
