If you enjoy writing for a variety of mediums and have extensive experience developing robust communication plans, this role might be for you!Santos is looking for a Senior Communications Adviser to deliver high quality and effective communications material for the Eastern Australia region, consistent with Santos' brand and corporate strategy, and that supports the business unit's needs.*** Ad-hoc travel is expected.Key accountabilities for this position include implementation of comprehensive communications plans and strategies to support the business unit and corporate communications objectives by:Developing high quality, engaging content for internal and external audiences that enhances the company's reputation, and amplifies local messaging with key stakeholders.Identifying opportunities to strengthen staff engagement and develop internal communications material that reinforces and builds a positive workplace culture.Developing external communications channels (in consultation with corporate comms, brand and marketing teams) and materials to support regional external (e.g. fact sheets, website and social media content) and internal (e.g. local townhalls, business updates to staff) communications.Developing proactive and reactive media materials in consultation with the corporate media team.Supporting regional 3rd party external communications requests (e.g. event, executive speeches).Ensuring key messages are aligned across all regional communications.Delivering content for graphic design that is consistent with Santos' brand requirements.Corporate Alignment & Support; Cascade corporate communications strategy into the regional business unit and support Santos' corporate communications and ESG reporting, including the pro-active story identification.About YouTo stand out in this role, we are looking for enthusiastic candidates with strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated experience in:A professional external affairs role with advanced writing and editing skills.Ability to prioritise and coordinate multiple projects at any given time, and effectively project manage external consultants and contractors.Experience in coordinating cross-organisational projects and initiatives.Experience in establishing relationships, development and implementation of local and First Nation participation strategies.Experience in community engagement, journalism, communications, government affairs or external affairs; and background in the the oil and gas (or similar) industry are desirable.It is essential that you have tertiary qualifications in Communication, Community & Aboriginal Affairs, Business etcSupporting a Diverse WorkforceSantos acknowledges that we operate on the traditional lands of Aboriginal people.
