A team who values real diversity and inclusion, in a big brand with big ambitions.What you'll be doing:Reporting to General Manager - Inflight Experience, the Safety & Compliance, Manager - Inflight will support the leadership team with safety culture, change management, risk, and governance activity that supports Cabin Crew Operations for Virgin Australia.Working in collaboration with the Safety Systems team, Cabin Crew leadership team, internal stakeholders, and external regulators, you will work in all aspects of people and operational safety across Cabin Crew functions and support conformance and compliance to the Virgin Australia Safety Management System framework to deliver industry leader safety performance.You will use safety data, trends, observations, and analysis to support the leadership team to identifying and delivering ongoing improvements in process, standards, equipment, and behaviours to keep our people and our guests safeIn addition, you will:Work in partnership with the Safety Systems team to deliver high standards of people and operational safety across Cabin Operations.Support divisional conformance activity and assist the leadership team with investigations, actions, and findings to mitigate future non-compliance.Actively participate in relevant forums to improve Safety, Security, Resilience Health, and Wellbeing throughout the Group.Using internal and external relationships, work with operational leaders to ensure Virgin Australia's safety culture is industry leading.Align with Virgin Australia's People Safety division to ensure the availability of ongoing wellness support for frontline team members to reduce injury, illness, and fatigue.Develop, improve, and monitor compliance with appropriate frameworks and tools.You'll be great in this role if you:Safety leadership qualificationsChange management/risk management qualifications.Minimum 3 years experience leading large customer/operational workforces in a safety management capacity.Data/ analytics experience, in particular to be able to identify safety trends.Safety regulatory and legislative requirementsDemonstrated people leadership and motivating large teams.We're committed to looking after you, with some of the best benefits and conditions in the industry - including (but not limited to):Discounted flights for you and your loved ones (including $1000 worth of travel credits per year)A flexible, hybrid work style.
