We have an exciting opportunity for a Level 1/2 Speech Pathologist to join our passionate and supportive Speech Pathology team at Mona Vale Hospital. This permanent full-time position will provide a service to the inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation/palliative care caseloads.Come join us at Mona Vale! This includes assessment, intervention and the provision of education to patients and their significant others for a range of acquired swallowing and communication disorders.Participating in regular supervision and professional development opportunities.Participating in quality improvement activities and the provision of education in-services to members of Nursing staff, Medical Officers, Allied Health Professionals, and other staff members.People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:Bachelor or post graduate degree in Speech Pathology and eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia. Holds a valid NSW Drivers License.Demonstrated well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use health information systems.Demonstrate skills and knowledge in the provision of Speech Pathology service to consumers, carers and families requiring assessment, case management, intervention, appropriate referral and discharge planning.Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required).
