We have over 20 years' experience delivering support to ADF.We are seeking a Trades Assistant with Heavy Vehicle workshop experience to join our RAAF Edinburgh team, on a full-time permanent capacity, with good work life balance on offer.The hourly pay rate is $30.20 + Super + Fortnightly allowanceMust be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen.What we offer:Full time, in a permanent role at RAAF EdinburghRetention Allowance, payable up to $440.42 each fortnightGenuine focus on work/life balance, with a strong commitment to mental wellbeing12 o'clock EKO every FridayIndustry relevant courses / upskilling available - industry & ADF training options both available for suitable candidatesAll tools of trade & uniform providedCareer progression opportunities available Full time, permanent positionBe a part of one of the largest essential service providers in Australia and New Zealand and make an impactAn opportunity to work in a dynamic, supportive, and inclusive team cultureWhat you will be doing:Assist Tradesmen within a range of maintenance activities, including preventative maintenance, installations, and planned works.Assist management and support personnel in the day-to-day operations of a modern, complex ADF maintenance environmentParticipate in forward-repair activities into ADF units and training areas as requiredConducting heavy and light tyre fitting, including military-spec HV run-flats, operating the JLU(S) Wheel Exchange Service using specialist equipment.Maintain tools and equipment (including safety equipment); plant items, motor vehicles, and hired plant items.Ensure that all technical, safety procedures and contract specific requirements are followedUndertake other tasks as directed by management staff.About you:Previous proven experience as a Trades Assistant in a heavy vehicle environment (Essential)Ability to perform manual tasks in a variety of operational environments (Essential)Willingness to work under the direction of multiple stakeholders (Essential)A current Australian Driver's Licence (Essential)About VentiaVentia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand.
