Job DescriptionSolar Screen is a leading European provider of adhesive solutions specializing in window, walls, furniture and cars. With over 40 years of industry presence, we have developed an expansive international network, comprising more than 5000 professional installers. Our commitment to superior service, product expertise, and innovation has been pivotal in achieving double-digit growth annually over the last 6 years. To support our ongoing growth and boost our product expertise, we are hiring a Product Engineer.In this newly created function, the Product Engineer willOwn and maintain the high-quality of our range of 1000 SKU’Develop the range by launching new products or improve others. This will be done in partnership with our suppliers and with a strong focus on improving product’s carbon footprint.Own all our certifications.Guarantee the quality and availability of our technical data & related supportsTo achieve those goals, you will build a strong product knowhow around our adhesive foils.Your missionCoordinate all inbound quality control and act in case of non-conform receptionPerform regular in-depth quality controls on our products, in our in-house quality labManage all “product quality” related claims: validate claims & communicate internally about the issue, control existing stock, submit issue to supplier, ensure follow-up…Identify potential new products to launch or to improve (fairs, suppliers visit, customer feedbacks, … )Focus on improving the footprint of our products to reach our ambitious footprint reduction targetsCoordinate the new product (NPD) pipe from idea to delivery in our warehouseMaintain all existing certifications (safety glass, fire, … ) and extend the available certifications for our productsImprove and maintain the quality of our technical data sheetsExtend the range of available technical support (summaries of data sheets, extensive versions, … )Take initiatives to improve any of the points aboveIn this new role, contribute actively at defining the right processes to manage all above mentioned points.Your ProfileYou have a first successful experience in a similar role (developing and testing new materials and products, quality assurance and certification processes)Bachelor's or master’s degree in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Polymer Engineering.You are native in French or English and have a good level in the other languageYou are curious and willing to become THE technical expert for our productsYou are an intrapreneur: you like to take initiatives and get thigs doneYou are used to combine good process with business agilityYou have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and like to share your expertiseYou can manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.You are motivated by the challenge of reducing the carbon footprint of our rangeAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with other departmentsYou're smiley and friendly, just like we are (really).Our offerStrong brands, among the European leaders in its fieldOpportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing international companyFlat organization with room for initiative- Brand new comfortable officesComprehensive training and development opportunitiesCollaborative and inclusive work environmentJobs.lu
