If so, this role is for you!Key job responsibilitiesRun advanced tools/models to automate decision making for complex and ambiguous trade-off problemDeep dive complex data using SQL (>10TB) to uncover actionable insights for known and unknown problemsUse data to control/audit if our supply chain is behaving as expected, and automate the identification of improvement opportunities among dozens of dimensionsIdentify opportunities to improve the accuracy of our forecasts, which involves owning projects from beginning to end: producing the analysis to understand the problem; convening a cross-functional team to resolve it; and monitoring the improvements you produceCollaborate with teams with widely differing incentives to help them make the right trade-offs in terms of how the prepare for, and respond to, uncertainty, providing analysis that is sophisticated but easy to understandProvide reports and analyses through tools, portals and databases (Redshift, SQL, Excel, Tableau, and/or other data management systems) to allow full visibility of both the plan and our execution against itAbout the teamGlobal Transportation Services, Long-term Planning teamOperations is at the heart of the Amazon customer experience. Our overall mission is simple: we want Amazon to be the place where our customers can be delivered the next-day.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools- Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)- Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)- Experience with SQL- Experience in the data/BI spacePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Master's degree, or Advanced technical degree- Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design- Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysisAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
