Job description ABOUT THE COMPANY.A Local Council based in Sydney's south, looking for a Payroll Officer to assist with the general day-to-day operation of the team's payroll function.ABOUT THE ROLE.Immediate start, 6-month full-time contract. Reporting into the Payroll Manager, the role will see you working to ensure the accurate, timely processing of weekly pay-runs. In addition, you will assist with any internal employee queries and the processing of payroll tax.DUTIES.Process weekly pay-runsAssist with employee enquiriesAssist team with any payroll or compensation mattersProcess payroll tax and complete reconciliationsSKILLS & EXPERIENCE.Minimum 3 years experience in a similar payroll processing positionStrong proficiency with an advanced payroll system and Microsoft ExcelHigh level of attention to detail and sound problem solving skillsCULTURE.This role will see you working in a close-knit collaborative team, and will provide opportunities for stability and long-term career progression.
