Job Description
We need a passionate and experienced mental health nurse to work in a well-established team at an acute hospital in South West England, assisting and supporting general hospital colleagues in making decisions about treatment and care in complex situations.Description:The priority for the post holder will be to provide:High level of nursing and observationDelivering a range of nursing and psychosocial interventions to help reduce patients' distressAssist and support general hospital colleagues in making decisions about treatment and care in complex situationsProvide one-to-one nursing for behaviorally disturbed, distressed, or confused patientsOffer support and advice to patients presenting with a range of undifferentiated mental health, psychological problems, and psychiatric illnessesDeliver a range of nursing and psychosocial interventions to individual patients and their families, as appropriateRepresent mental health services within the general hospitalSkills:Demonstrable experience of working in a mental health settingKnowledge and experience of adult safeguarding proceduresAbility to restrain patients using approved techniquesHandling and appropriately storing patient valuablesAbility to deal with emotional and distressing situationsExcellent interpersonal skillsRespect for the privacy and dignity of individualsAbility to manage demanding situationsAbility to cope with exposure to aggressive behaviorAbility to plan own workloadKnowledge of Mental Health presentations and appropriate interventionsUnderstanding of the NMC Code of ConductKnowledge of risk management and how to plan care to account for riskTo apply to this role, please reply with your updated CV and the job reference number - BS/10171/RMN1.Vacancy TypePermanentStart DateASAPContact NameBilal ShaikhTelephone0333 121 2010Atlantis Medical
