Our core in-house services include Building Management, Concierge and Cleaning Services, and we manage a large portfolio of high-profile clients based in Sydney and foster an environment of transparency, collaboration, respect, and integrity.This is a rewarding and challenging role working collaboratively with the Building Management Committee and Owners Corporations to ensure their mixed-use site is managed and maintained to an excellent standard.Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking an experienced and energetic Building Manager to join our Company, for a long-term.To be successful in this role you will be an outstanding communicator and administrator who enjoys the balance of office administration with the activity of site and contractor supervision, project management and issue resolution. You also have the following attributes:Emotionally mature person with a positive attitude, responsive to the client's needs and able to effectively manage different personalities.Professional presentation, self-motivated, resilient, and efficientWorks well as a leader and a member of a teamCapability of following quality management procedures and company policiesTerrific opportunity to join a high performing team and work within a collaborative, and professional environment to unleash your potential!Major responsibilities will include:Successful management of contractors, consultants, and coordinationExtensive liaison with Owners, Residents, Strata Managers and Committee MembersProactive implementation of preventative maintenance programsUndertaking reactive repairs including logging, acting, and respondingScheduling and arranging statutory certification and inspections of common property.Compiling detailed progress reports and maintaining comprehensive records & databaseAct on behalf of the Client in relation to WHS and environmental requirements such as contractor induction, reviewing contractors Safe Work Method Statements and other duties that may be required to ensure the site is a safe place to work and live.QualificationsWe encourage applicants with technical background who have either worked in the strata industry, facilities management, property, or contractor management or may have enjoyed success in a trade or construction environment and are looking to make your mark in a new industry.Previous experience in the strata industry is a plus.A genuine passion for Building & Facilities Management industryAbility to build solid rapport with Residents and Strata CommitteesAbility to organize and prioritize tasks.Conflict resolution skillsMicrosoft Office skills - Outlook, Excel, WordA strong administrative backgroundAn appreciation of customer serviceFlexibility, adaptability, and ability to influence and motivate others.Additional InformationPlease visit our website www.excelbm.com.auRemember to submit a copy your resume as part of your application.Sydney CBD building with easy Public Transport nearby.Large high rise residential & commercial sitesOperations Manager and Head Office SupportRemuneration is subject to experience.Full-time roleUniform supplied.Desktop supplied.Mobile phone supplied.Working hours:Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm.We take this opportunity to thank all applicants in advance and advise only short-listed candidates will be contacted.Excel Building Management
