We act for humanity.About the roleRed Cross provides help and support to refugees, people seeking asylum, people in immigration detention and other people who are vulnerable as a result of migration. Our migration programs and services protect and uphold the health, dignity and wellbeing of vulnerable migrants in Australia.In this role you will provide support to people who have recently migrated to Australia. You will bring an enthusiasm for administration, an eye for detail and a passion for supporting migrants and asylum seekers.What you will bring· Mandarin and English language skills (essential)· A connection to the Chinese community· Sound understanding issues affecting people impacted by migration, their vulnerabilities, needs and strengths· Excellent general office administration and records management· Proven highly developed organisational and time management skills· Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in use of software applications including databases, client management systems, mobile/tablet applications, and Microsoft suite of programs· A Working with Vulnerable People Check· Drivers licenceBenefits that act for you, while you act for humanityFinancial wellbeing: In addition to your salary, you can take advantage of salary packaging that could provide you with a great way to reduce the amount of tax you pay - and get more from your salary.
