Are you a Commercially minded experienced Head of People & Culture?We’re looking for someone to join our established People Team for a 12-month FTC to cover maternity leave. As the Head of People & Culture you’ll work in partnership with our UK Managing Director and European Commercial Lead, Senior Commercial Leadership team and broader management teams to ensure our business continues to achieve both great results and deliver against our vision and goal, Creating the Future of Media.Located in the heart of iconic Soho as part of the UK People Team, this isn’t your typical HR role. We need someone who is passionate about L&D and understands how to build an inclusive culture. You’ll own strategic people projects, for example, DEI, Organisation Design, Compensation & Leadership Development.*We would consider someone on a 4 day a week basis for this role.What you’ll doYou'll be responsible for driving the strategic people plan forward, harnessing data to identify opportunities for improvement. Being a trusted strategic business partner you'll build a deep understanding of the business, our challenges and goals to be able to influence and steer the people plan and deliver the strategy across Commercial.You’ll alsoHave our longer-term goals in mind - ready to challenge when needed and coach and support through other times.Own strategic people projects, for example, DEI, Organisation Design, Compensation or Leadership Development,Nurture and coach your team (People & Culture Partner for Commercial and People & Culture Assistant) as well as the wider People Team in partnership with the Head of People & Culture, Business Services.Who you areYour key strengths are being able to partner with and influence the Commercial Leadership Team, they’ll see you as a trusted adviser and you’ll understand how to get the best out of them. The other is to be flexible, comfortable working in the grey and skilled at many things, as a true generalist getting involved in everything and anything that involves our people.You'll be able to;Judge when to nudge people along, when to push a little harder and when to change your approach.take satisfaction from the achievements of others and our business overall, as the People team works so closely with our leaders, we’re often behind the scenes.You’ll have an eye for spotting opportunities, for building on ideas and approaches so we can continue to evolve our business.You’ll be comfortable with data, analysis and managing projects, to help us plan our activity and measure our progress.You’ll be experienced at handling ER cases (we don’t have many, but you’ll need to be able to manage any tricky ones).What’s in it for youWhat we hear most from CCUK colleagues past and present is we’re a nice bunch of people, and we truly are.
