The Retail Real Estate team in Toronto is seeking a high-performing Manager of Retail Real Estate to join their team.As Manager, Real Estate & Leasing at Freedom, you’ll be an integral part of our collaborative and close-knit Enablement and Operations team that’s helping to support our mission to challenge the status quo in Canadian telecommunications. Reporting to our Vice President, Enablement & Operations, this role will be responsible for managing the negotiation, contract management, and payment side of our retail real estate portfolio. They will engage directly with our landlord partners across the country, working to complete site acquisition, renewals and extensions, while representing Freedom as the conduit for payment needs along with day-to-day property interactions.A typical dayDirect lease negotiations, manage deal closings and manage a national portfolio.Negotiate and manage all associated processes for a wide variety of real estate transactions, amending agreements, estoppels, insurance, assignments, for prospective new store openings, closures, and relocations.Manage the appropriate documentation to support internal executive approvals and keep internal departments informed to successfully execute each project.Manage tracking processes to ensure all renewals/extensions are dealt with in a timely manner and within contract terms.Work with finance departments to ensure lease related payments, both recurring and one-time, are issued in a timely matter.Manage all lease information, upload and key abstracted information into Real Estate Data Base (critical dates, lease clauses, payment info, landlord contact info etc.)QualificationsHave at least 5 years’ experience with commercial lease administrationPost secondary education in Business and/or relevant real estate experienceAble to develop and build relationships internally with stakeholders and within the retail real estate communityStrong organization skills including all MS Office suite of productsThrive in a team setting and are an effective collaborator in a transparent and highly communicative atmosphere.Self-starter with ability to complete tasks with minimal direct supervisionFamiliarity with Oracle and CoStar would be advantageousAdditional InformationTake advantage of a customizable health & dental benefits program and opportunities for company-matched pension (according to position).Promote your health with the wellness program, which focuses on physical, psychological, financial, and social health.Benefit from the Employee Assistance Program for you and your family, including Virtual Healthcare.Participate in projects that make an impact and take on challenges that will allow you to surpass yourself.Develop your full potential and imagine what you can become within Quebecor’s family through our various career opportunities. #Li-NA1Check out our for an overview of the projects to which you could contribute !We value your uniqueness !We are committed to creating and maintaining an accessible, equitable and inclusive workplace that reflects the diversity of the community to which we belong.
