SummaryWee Know School is a Nationally Accredited and 5Star YoungStar center. We are looking for a compassionate, outgoing and dedicated individual for an assistant teacher position. Our school provides care for children ages 2 1/2 yrs. through 4K during the school year (Sept. - May), and to children 3 yrs. through 3rd grade bound in the summer. Children are placed in one classroom with a teaching team for the entire school year. This allows our teachers to follow each child's development throughout the year, and children are with their peer group. Candidate hired must provide the children with a safe, loving and nurturing environment. Assistant teachers support lead teachers in the preparation of lesson plans, implementation of plan including preparation, set-up, and clean-up, maintaining individual child portfolios (observations, portfolio entries, evidence of activities reflecting developmental growth, etc.) and sharing observations with lead teacher to maintain a cohesive teaching team. Engagement with children is important. Working with individual, small and large groups is part of the daily routine.
