If so, this would be a great opportunity for you!Our client, a top 5 bank, is looking for a Communications Specialist for a 12 month contract in Toronto. This is a hybrid role 2 days onsite- Wednesdays are mandatory in office. There is a high possibility of contract extension and conversion to full time opportunity.Pay rate: $32.69 - $35.74 / HourWorking Hours: Monday to Friday- core business hours 9 to 5Advantages●Gain experience within a top 5 bank●Potential for contract extension and conversion●Earn a competitive rate within the industry●Hybrid role●Long term projectResponsibilitiesAs a Communications Specialist, your duties will include but not limited to:●Providing professional communications support, including the execution and evaluation of communication initiatives, programs, projects, and work-plans as assigned.●Providing support to functional Managers and respective business partners by executing project plans to enable communication strategies●Managing daily media reviews/analysis and news release process Support, and for less complex projects●Working with assigned business partners and/or third party suppliers to coordinate changes and approvals for content and design●Implementing project tasks and key deliverables under the direction of the Manager Filter and research internal/external communication/employee inquiries●Managing on-going relationships with outside agencies, third party service providers and external representatives to research or obtain information●Participating in evaluating the effectiveness of projects/plans/programs/initiatives after implementation;●Assisting in compiling and analyzing feedback from various internal areas and outside vendors, develop recommendations as appropriate and incorporate changes into future plans●Driving leading-edge use of visual media: video, photography, interactive digital features and infographics, to tell company's stories in compelling, engaging and immediate ways●Prioritizing and managing own workload to meet service level requirements for service and productivity●Protecting the interests of the organization●Identifying and managing risks, and escalate non-standard, high risk transactions●Monitoring service, productivity and assess efficiency levels within own function and implement continuous process/performance improvements where opportunities exist●Acquiring and applying expertise in the discipline, provide guidance, assistance and direction to others Identify, recommend and effectively execute standard practices applicable to the discipline●Adhering to internal policies/procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts●Maintaining a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetiteQualifications●Ability to write and draft communications●Adaptability●Self Sufficient●Willingness to help with co-workers - team playerNICE TO HAVE●Journalism diploma/degree●French●corporate experience would be helpfulSummaryInterested in the Communications Specialist role in Toronto?
