If you are passionate about and can take ownership of the design and development of the next generation software for our embedded intrusion alarm systems and related application software, then this may be the right job for you.Individuals will actively participate in the design, development, and testing of embedded software within a structured product development process. Work with cross functional teams and gather technical requirements, design software architecture, implementation and verification checkpoints, production test strategy development and launch to mass production. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with an international team of experienced and dedicated developers.Principal ResponsibilitiesSoftware development on a variety of embedded and object-oriented software platforms for real-time security system products and applicationsParticipate in requirements engineering activitiesCollaboration with internal customers to define and set product expectationsParticipate in product design and architecture developmentProvide schedule estimation input to project management for software developmentWork in a cross-functional team environment comprised of software engineers, hardware engineers, testers, product and project managersPartake in technical project reviews and code reviewsExcellent analytical skills, including analysis of existing software code and utilization of software tools.Experience with unit and integration testing to include CI/CD processesKnowledge of Agile development methods (Scrum, test-driven development, etc.)Experience with tools for requirements management, fault tracking and knowledge of Jira, Git, and BitbucketQualificationsBasic Qualifications:BS Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Computer Engineering8+ years of experience in software for real-time embedded systems written in C / C++ using OOP principles in a RTOS or Linux environment5+ years of experience in the analysis of existing software code and utilization of software tools to debug software, perform root cause analysis and fix defects5+ years of experience in new product development and product launch processWork independently in an organized and structured fashion; takes ownership and is self-accountable to team goalsGood interpersonal skills within a cross functional team; proactive approach to communication and handling conflictsExcellent written and verbal communication skills for both a technical and non-technical audienceAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.By choice, we are committed to a diverse workforce - EOE/Protected Veteran/Disabled.BOSCH is a proud supporter of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) Initiatives: FIRST Robotics (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) and AWIM (A World In Motion)Indefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only.
