Join our team today!Job DescriptionAccountabilities:Perform ultrasound procedures in accordance with departmental standards to aid in patient’s diagnosis and/or treatmentFacilitate the provision of optimal patient care, observing and understanding Hospital and departmental policies and proceduresAdhere to organization mission and value statements while maintaining patient confidentialityProvide radiologists with high quality imaging, accurate and complete preliminary technical impression, discussing ultrasound findings with the radiologist when necessaryPerform other duties related to the job classification as requiredQualificationsGraduate of an accredited program in ultrasound technologyARDMS (CRGS) certification in abdomen and obstetrics/gynecology with preference given to those who are also RVT (CRVS) or eligibility for registration with ARDMS (CRGS) within six months of the date of hireRegistration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario requiredSonography Canada membership preferredExperience in general abdominal, obstetrics/gynecology, paediatric, breast, vascular and musculoskeletal preferredFMF NT certification an assetProven skill in the production of high-quality ultrasound imagesAbility to communicate both verbally and in writingPhysical ability to perform the expected job dutiesDemonstrated ability to organize work, set objectives and establish prioritiesDemonstrated ability to foster an environment to facilitate effective teaching and learning relationships and provide effective consultation with the clinical educatorsAbility to work both independently and as part of a team with strong interpersonal and communication skillsMust demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and CollaborationExcellent attendance, punctuality and work recordMay be required to travel between and work at all Osler sitesAdditional InformationHours: Currently Days/Evenings/Nights, 8 hour shifts including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)This position is eligible for the Employee Referral Reward Program.
