Job Description
The Supreme, District and Land Courts Service sits within the Courts and Tribunals Division and provides administrative support and registry services to the judiciary and court users in Queensland. Services are delivered through registries within the Supreme Court (including the Court of Appeal), the District Court (including the Planning and Environment Court and the Childrens Court of Queensland) and the Land Court.As the Court Security Manager, you will be responsible for the provision of comprehensive security solutions to enhance the safety and risk management within Brisbane’s courts’ precinct. Your role is critical in ensuring secure and efficient operations across courthouses in Brisbane’s Central Business District.Job details Position status Fixed Term TemporaryPosition type Flexible full-timeOccupational group Building ServicesClassification AO7Workplace Location Brisbane Inner CityJob ad reference QLD/578747/24Closing date 31-Jul-2024Yearly salaryFortnightly salaryTotal remunerationSalary OtherJob duration Until 22 December 2024 with possible extensionContact person Andrew NicholsContact details Ph: (07) 3738 8002Access theThe successful applicant will be responsible for:- Developing, implementing, and monitoring risk management frameworks to facilitate improved security within Brisbane's courts' precinct.- Undertaking vulnerability and security risk assessments and developing and overseeing appropriate mitigation strategies within Brisbane's courts' precinct.- Promoting an intelligence-led risk management approach to the development, implementation and review of security related emergency and critical incident management frameworks and plans for Brisbane's courts' precinct.- Developing, maintaining, and improving security procedures and policies with a focus on delivering high quality, business focused services and outcomes.- Providing training that supports the implementation of security related emergency and critical management frameworks, policies and procedures for judicial officers, courts' staff and entrants.- Providing management and leadership to security personnel working in Brisbane's courts' precinct, ensuring resources are appropriately and efficiently allocated and successful business outcomes are achieved.- Cultivating and maintaining strong working relationships with key agencies to facilitate intelligence and information exchange as well as improve the collection and monitoring of threat and risk assessment information and the coordination of activities in response.- Undertaking investigations into security related incidents in Brisbane's courts' precinct, formulating responses, advising, and implementing preventative actions.- Undertaking regular security audits and inspections.- Liaising with key stakeholders for high profile and/or offsite Qld Courts events, including but not limited to ceremonial occasions,and- Ensure all provisions of relevant Statutory Regulations, Acts and Codes are applied as required.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Further informationWe are committed to building inclusive cultures in the Queensland public sector that respect and promote and .Please ensure you download all attachments and follow the instructions on how to apply.DocumentsBefore applying for this vacancy please ensure you read the documents below.Queensland Government
