Job DescriptionI am proud to assist my client, a global fund administrator servicing real estate and private equity clients, in their search of new talents for the Luxembourg office.The team is currently looking for hands-on candidates to strengthen the Depositary department.Individual will work with CFOs, financial controllers, legal counsels at fund managers, along with colleagues from the administration and AIFM departments ; and other third parties such as banks, service providers, and auditors, to ensure timely and efficient completion of depositary responsibilities.The selected candidate will help develop and manage the team to ensure a high-quality, client-focused service. Additionally, the candidate should have a comprehensive understanding of the Luxembourg legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to private equity and real estate funds.THE MANDATE:Manage depositary services for a portfolio of clients in real estate and private equity funds, both existing and new.Oversee all client deliverables and deadlines, coordinating effectively with the depositary team.Review and approve key events, conduct cash monitoring, risk assessments, asset verification, client onboarding, and prepare quarterly reviews and reports.Prepare and review key event assessments such as subscriptions, drawdowns, acquisitions, disposals, distributions, and terminations.Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication via face-to-face meetings, phone calls, and emails, and lead client meetings.Persistently engage with non-responsive clients to find alternative solutions for timely information delivery.Ensure the team properly performs cash flow monitoring and reconciliations.Efficiently manage new business onboarding.Develop a comprehensive understanding of AIFMD requirements for the role of depositary.Attend and present depositary reports at client Board of Directors meetings.Directly supervise and manage the depositary team, providing effective supervision, coaching, and engagement.Review depositary controls and team reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with operational procedures, policies, and professional guidelines.Regularly review and suggest improvements to depositary procedures and checklists.THE PROFILE:A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in depositary or audit roles - initial experience in team management is highly valued.Strong knowledge of audit techniques.Ability to understand and investigate complex transactions through the review of accounting records, financial reporting, and legal documentation.Experience in managing multiple client relationships is advantageous.Exceptional attention to detail and an inquisitive mindset.Good knowledge and understanding of AIFMD and the Luxembourg regulatory framework.Ability to thrive in a rapidly expanding company environment with focused and motivated individuals.Proficiency in solving practical problems and providing guidance to junior staff.Effective planning skills with a strong orientation toward meeting deadlines.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Studying towards or willing to pursue a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA or CAIA.Fluent in English, with proficiency in French and German considered an advantage.If you are interested in this position, or would like to discuss other roles that we are currently recruiting for, please forward your CV in English to Alexis PERL by applying online with the reference AP057.Greenfield Luxembourg is a leading Luxembourg based Recruitment and Executive Search Consultancy and has been selected to fulfill this mandate on behalf of our Client.Greenfield Luxembourg are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applicants from all sectors of the Community.
