Are you a recent accounting graduate or accounting professional looking to gain experience in Council. We have a fantastic opportunity for valuable hands-on experience in Local Government, through this 12-month parental leave cover.In the Management Accountant role, you will develop business relationships with managers and supervisors within your portfolio to assist with annual budget preparation, quarterly budget reviews and monthly reporting and financial analysis.Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, you will provide professional, expert guidance and support with timely and accurate reporting, review of income and expenditure and cost control identification.The Management Accounting team are dedicated, passionate and committed to providing value-adding insights, innovative solutions to support best practice outcomes and Council's overall financial sustainability.This role is perfect for someone looking to build on their experience and professional development, in a supportive and stimulating environment.To be successful in this role, you will have relevant qualifications and experience in accounting or financial management and be CA/CPA qualified (or eligible to undertake).About us:Shellharbour City, located in the Illawarra region, is just 80 minutes south of Sydney and is home to over 76,000 people in a city that spans 154 square kilometres.
