OverviewWe are seeking a solutions-focused and forward-thinking individual with experience managing and enhancing digital platforms to join our team as Manager, Web Services. The Experience, Communications, Marketing, and Insights department is looking for a strategic leader with strong relationship building skills to oversee our website and digital platforms, ensuring a consistent user experience through the lens of WorkSafeBC’s Stakeholder and Employee Experience Framework.How you’ll make a difference: You’ll build the understanding and trust that helps WorkSafeBC serve people across B.C.Where you’ll workAt WorkSafeBC, we offer a model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.In this role, you’ll work primarily from our Richmond office, with some flexibility to work from your home in B.C.What you'll doAs the Manager, Web Services, you will:Oversee and optimize WorkSafeBC’s website and digital platforms such as the corporate website, employee intranet, dashboards & analytics, and asset management.Lead the Corporate Internet Services team in enhancing the utility, form, and functionality of our corporate digital channels, ensuring they meet the highest standards.Develop and implement effective digital engagement strategies.Work closely with Marketing and Communication teams to ensure consistency and timeliness of content, voice and tone, and user experience.Collaborate with I&T DevOps and Experience and Insights teams to ensure platform functionality and usability, reflecting the evolving needs of external and internal stakeholders.Act as a primary point of contact for clients across the organization, including for emergency publishing requests.Lead data and analytics initiatives to track and measure the success of web services.Promote WorkSafeBC’s strategic priorities within and outside of the organization.Is this a good fit for you?We’re looking for someone who can:Lead and inspire a team, fostering a supportive and healthy working environment.Build and maintain collaborative and respectful client relationships.Think critically and innovate within the digital communications space.Apply best practices in SEO, keyword analytics, UX, content development and deployment, accessibility, and other digital communication and engagement strategies.Provide strategic direction and develop digital content strategies.Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment across various channels.Your experience and educational backgroundA bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.A minimum of 8 years of experience in digital media, marketing, and communications, including at least 4 years in a management role.A master’s degree will be an asset.An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.Important to knowBefore we can finalize any offer of employment, you must:Consent to a criminal record check.Confirm you’re legally entitled to work in Canada.Who we areAt WorkSafeBC, we promote safe and healthy workplaces across British Columbia.
