Job Description:Working under the WOOD Oakville Home Office Team responsible for the delivery of final As-Builts and Handover to IAMGOLD Operations, the Site Inspection and Verification Coordinator - Piping and Mechanical shall be responsible for on site inspection, verification, redlining and reporting of the As-Built/As-Found conditions of Piping and Mechanical Systems identified on Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's) from both project EPCM and Vendor supplied drawings and documentation. The work of the coordinator shall be conducted at the Cote Gold Mine Site, an Operational mine located in Gogama, Ontario.The coordinator shall have had extensive previous experience at the Cote site in the capacity of a Quality Assurance professional and be certified in all facets of the Safety requirements of the site or be required to train or re-train as necessary to be fully approved to be on site and walk the locations necessary for the site.The site rotation for this contract is two weeks on, two weeks off, 12 hours daily with camps, travel and paid travel days to and from each rotation. Flights to and from designated and agreed home airport and Timmins or Sudbury, Ontario will be provided. Camps and Bussing from airport to camp will be provided by the Operator.Responsibilities:The daily tasks include but are not limited to the following:Daily coordination with all site Operations and Maintenance personnel, WOOD Home office team and as otherwise required.Detailed walkdowns and inspections of Piping and Mechanical systems and packages as directed by the WOOD Technical/Closeout Lead.Attendance at daily and weekly coordination meetings at site and/or WOOD Home Office.Preparation of detailed redlined drawings and daily submittals back to WOOD Technical/Closeout Lead or designate.Preparation of daily reports of findings and deficiencies.Qualifications:Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks.Effective communication skills.Ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment.Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required.About Us:Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
