This position will assist with the monitoring and reporting of the day-to-day financial operations of assigned retail and ancillary business units. The candidate for this position should be an energetic team player with strong problem-solving abilities, have excellent analytical and investigatory skills, and possess a very high attention to detail.Key Responsibilities:Assist the Intermediate Accountant in the delivery of financial services to clients including accounting and financial analysis and reporting.Reconciliation of accounts including investigation, analysis and correctionPreparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end reportingWell versed in NAIT policies and proceduresOther related duties including but not limited to:General Journal entrySystem testing for upgradesSkills & Abilities:Demonstrated ability to work within a teamExcellent interpersonal skillsExcellent time management skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteExceptional oral and written communication skillsStrong Excel skills and a demonstrated ability to learn and apply mainframe software applications.Qualifications:Accounting DiplomaExperience with PeopleSoft Finance is preferredThorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices is requiredExperience in full-cycle accounting is essential (including but not limited to AR, AP, deferred revenue, etc.)Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).Remuneration: $57,932.94 - $73,528.00 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package (Finance/Accounting Assistant II).This position is covered by the AUPE (Alberta Union of Provincial Employees) Collective Agreement.Please submit a resume and cover letter to be considered for this opportunity.About NAITWe are proud to have been named one of Alberta's Top Employers for 13 consecutive years.
